Project Thrive: The Origins

Thrive collective was born out of a desire to balance strength with stillness, action with reflection.

Born from the synergy of Carlson Gracie Team Karachi’s rigorous combat training (the Yang) and Thrive’s holistic integration and recovery modalities (the Yin), we strive to help you become your best self, inside and out.

“Athletes and individuals often find themselves under-recovering, rather than over-training.”

Meet the Founder

Meet the founder of Thrive Collective, Prof. Alisha Ahmad. Alisha is a 1st Degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt and life long Athlete.

As a former Pakistan national swimmer and lifelong athlete, I have always been deeply immersed in the world of sports and performance. Competing as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete in my late 20s, I discovered that true progress wasn’t just about training hard—it was about recovering smarter. This realization sparked my journey into exploring a variety of recovery modalities, including infrared sauna, cold plunges, Normatec compression, trigger point and deep tissue massage, mobility work, and yoga.

Thrive Collective was born from a desire to create a dedicated space that caters to the unique recovery needs of athletes, offering tools and techniques that have profoundly impacted my own journey. My mission is to help others recover, rebuild, and thrive in their pursuit of excellence.
